Hello, new to the forum, and really looking to pick your collective brains.
I bought myself a honda GX60 generator, which reckons it will deliver a max 4kva. I dont know whether this is true in practice, as anthibg ive used has come nowhere near that kind of power draw.
It has 2 110v sockets.
Now, ive welded mig, tig and stick before, but always with mains power.
I need a migset that will be ok for vintage car bodywork, i dont need it to be too powerful, as i wont be tackling any chassis work, just patching up the odd hole. I want this to use in my garage, which has no mains power, and no way of getting mains power due to its location.
Any suggestions?
Price is an issue, I'd like to do the work myself, but if the cost becomes astronomical, it would be wiser for me to pay someone with access to 240v to do the work for me.
Thanks in advance.
Phil.
