I've finally got myself a lathe! It's a dinky ML10 in good condition with loads of extras.
I have a couple of 1500x750 lab benches in the workshop which have Chemtop surfaces that are a) incredibly dense and b) incredibly expensive to replace so I don't really want to put holes in them. I was planning on welding up a sub-frame to hold the lathe/motor combo together.
Do you reckon I can get away with a relatively light weight affair which will sit on the bench or would I be better off with something hefty and floor mounted?
I've got 20, 25, 30 and 50mm box (all 2.5mm wall), 20 and 50mm angle, and various flat bar and tube in stock.
Cheers,
Fro
