Skateboard wheel axle sliders

I made my own axle sliders because there arent many available for the Husky and i felt i could do better,cheaper than the ones that were. The ones from a shop were quite dear for something to crash on. The idea is to just replace the skateboard wheels when they get damaged and not need to make new centers every time. £6 for a set of wheels.
I have fallen off, and they work well.

Took me ages turning down 2" bar on my CL250M lathe, but it done the job.

Also great for putting under the end of long wooden gates that are past their best

They are designed to protect the bike in the event of a slide by being a sacrificial wear-part. Holding the frame and swingarm off the road can make a lot of difference to a repair bill.

they take the hit when the bike slides up the road on its side minus its rider...its a lot easier and cheaper to replace these than to replace a swing arm or frame

I slid into a verge and the mudguard dug in and took the light with it, so put a Trail Tech X2 and Polisport mudguard on. Didnt really like the original guard and light anyway.

i was wondering about the light up front, looks better than the factory unit
