especially if something is a bit tricky and I work out how to do it and am happy with the result, makes me feel good.
And there is one of this year quotes right there- Thats why most of us on here do what we do in our bloke bunkers.
fftopic: yeah I know, but back on the topic, I just had a go at TIG brazing a 14mm bolt to copper pipe, and got a result, also; I weld nuts on to stuff and lil tabs to bolt heads to make locking screws, this has meant chemical stripping nut n bolts (but you can get non galvo fixings but may have to buy in bulk) , but TIG brazing them saves a lot of time, if you light up on the non galvo bit then wash up onto the galvo part it reduces the risk of setting off the killer fumes.
TIG brazing is a very handy process to have in your skillset. For me its worth the xpenditure to have the rods in your kit.
