Hi. This my first ever post.
Been welding for a number of years with a clarke 150 turbo. Bought a sealey autoweld 210 with a tweco classic torch off eBay today. I was told it hadnt been used for at least 12 months. The wire was dirty /rusty.
I have always used co2 with success.
I tried to weld with the sealey today but all I got was constant popping. Nothing I did with the wire feed or power made any difference. I occasionaly heard a little sizzle but mainly just spitting and popping.
The wire feed speed controller seems ok. I have put a new tip in it. It is much shorter than the one I took out but that one was for much thicker wire. I can feel gas at the tip. The shroud is big though and does overhang the tip a lot.
Any advice is really appreciated. Thanks.
