Opinions on these?
I'm looking for a welder and don't want to pay a premium for new one, found one in A1 condition which comes with standard Eurotorch, big gas bottle and 15kg 0.8mm wire for £300. Guy is only 15 minutes from me. Opinions?
Someone who builds 4wd Focus Cosworths advised on a 185amp as it's a big difference over the 180amp i was looking at beforehand. I figure he's got the experience to comment so i should take it onboard.
I've got an Escort XR3i cabriolet project, which to be fair doesn't really need any welding, but i'll be doing some, and i've always odd jobs which i need a welder for and hate constantly borrowing my mates (partly cause it never seems to work well, ever) The idea of it being a bit bigger gives me confidence that it's not a cheap use for welding up your bike job.
The 30-185amp range is supposedly good for vehicle work i've been reading. And i've got decent space in my workshop, enough room for 3 cars and benches around them. I plan to use CO2/Argon mix when the gas that comes with it runs out.
