I've got a stand-mounted Record pipe bender for bending copper and steel pipe up to 35mm. I have mandrels and guides for 15mm, 22mm and 28mm pipe. Would I be able to bend aluminium tube of 22mm with this setup 'as is', or will I need to fill the ali tube with sand to stop it crushing? I'm thinking of using something like 3mm wall tubing so that it has more resistance to deforming.
Is this doable or will it all end in tears? I'll need to make some 180 and 120-135 degree bends.
