Just started to have a play with my Aldi 140A inverter welder coupled with the Lidl auto darkening helmet.
Now sight wise I wear glasses and the scratched ones I wear daily are reactolites.
Eyes tested recently, prescription OK but at the point where varifocals being talked about. I have to take them off to mark to the mm. With my contact lenses I'm -4.5 in one eye and -5.5 in the other but can't wear them for close up stuff.
The mask has settings from 9 to 13. On 9 at 50A I'm struggling to see anything but the arc pool so my sense of direction is lost.
I did better ditching my specs and getting up real close.
Just wondering if the reactolites are...reacting, and going dark?
