Hi there
I have just sprayed up a set of Porsche alloys in Candy Gold which is silver course base coat, candy base and lacquer.
Look awesome, however got a slight sag in the clear coat on one of the wheels, thought I could knock it back using 1000grit thinking it would be OK and then polish back up.
Like a knob I went to long (in search of perfection like we all do) and went through the silver base coat. Now being a very strong rich candy gold, matching/blending would be impossible so might as well just redo the whole thing.
However I am unsure how far I have to knock back the new paint to start with the silver base again? Can I just key the new lacquer and go again or do I need to go all the way back the the silver base again
Thanks
