i need to sort out the QCTP..
the thickness of it could do with being thicker.
so you then could use the adjustment's on each holder.
so currently when you insert a tool holder in the QCTP, the tip of the tool sits below centre.
ive tried putting a 8mm spacer between the QCTP and slide.
and it works fine for facing and turning.
but when i tried parting off the QCTP and spacer started to turn slightly.
i know getting another QCTP is proberly the answer, one that is thicker.
but not found any that are the same type but thicker.
and getting another type right now plus holders is out the window with how much they cost.
i wonder if putting a spacer under the compound slide instead would work.
dont have any 8mm plate big enough,
10mm would be too thick as the slide bolts would then be too short.
guess i could use 6mm..
make something like this..
any thoughts.. ?
