I’m not very good at tig filler wire feeding; this might have something to do with just doing the joints I want rather than practising. But, I tried the pulse feature on the Parweld recently and now I find I can just leave the filler in the joint and run over the top in lay wire fashion using a low frequency say 3 Hz, and it just flows. It’s almost as if the pulse pushes the pool forward over the wire before retracting it avoiding getting too much in.
I know this isn’t the intended use of the feature but it’s an interesting point.
This had a c. 1mm gap in it which made it even better.
