After repairing and acid etch priming my car doors I used some PU seam sealant (using a cartridge gun) along the folded edges and they looked great. Two days later I applied acid primer over the sealant and it wrinkled along the edges where the sealant is thin.
Is the problem the sealant, the paint or the way I am using it? Should PU sealant not be smeared? I assume the propellant is reacting? It also happened when I Shutz gunned the underside of the car with Hammerite underseal. The sealant does say 'over paintable with most paints'.
Thanks, Christian
