@Bryan Williams I would say you biggest issue will whether there is enough movement in the pipes to get them into the fittings. If you have to start pulling to hard then that's when things can start to go wrong.
If there is enough movement then personally I would get a couple of end feed fittings and solder a new piece and get rid of the compression fitting all together. That way when you box it in you can forget about it. That way you can use a pipe slice to cut it out so no messing about with undoing those fittings.
Other option is a blanking cap.
