I actually karted my generator and the whacker out to the street to do the potholes but yeah, I can see the benefit of a petrol oneI'd thought about the electric ones but the distance I would need it for make them unsuitable.
I hired one from jewsons. I realize this isn't answering your question, but hiring suited me fine. Cost maybe £30 quid each time and I didn't have to buy or store it somewhere. Storage is always a problem for me. On the other hand, tools that get used over a more extended period e.g. mixer, I have bought.I can see one of these being useful in the short and the long term. There's a few on Ebay and Screwfix do them too.
Any stand out ones from the smaller cheaper end of the range? Anyone got one for sale, I could collect it soonish?
If your going to be a frequent user…buy a slightly bigger commercial one. The difference is like night and day…..worth the extra money, and much less wearing on yourself. Thanks for the offer, I think it's one of those I'll either need frequently enough to have one, or will buy one and only use it once.
