Hi all,
I'm restoring an old GEC outdoor light (for sentimental reasons) and would like some advice on suitable paint types.
As you can see, I've cleaned up the underside of main body, which has revealed a heavy galvanised coating the same as the junction box it mates with. The glass globe retaining ring is cast aluminium.
I plan to paint the main body black and the underside where the glass globe sits in white. I'll probably leave the aluminium ring self colour after a good wire brushing, unless there's something suitable in silver I could use.
Can anyone recommend a long lasting exterior paint system for me which is readily available?
