Hi Guys,
I've been de rusting a cast iron fireplace which has been left outside for several years using electrolysis
and after a few days de rusting is looking like this (although I guess it doesnt look too much different in this photo.
but the surface is much better and looking like this after pressure washing and drying
do I need to grit blast this before painting it, or will I be able to use epoxy primer on it as it stands as there is no loose rust on it anymore. I've got both lechler epoxy and jotun 87. its only for display at a neighbours house, so wont be used. if it was in better condition I'd be looking at something like Liberon Iron Paste.
