I've spyed an old Max Arc arc 200 amp oil cooled welder looking a bit sorry in a farm nearby. I'm thinking of doing a deal.
My question is - can it be conifgured to run at 240v? It says it's single phase, but it lists the voltage as 190 or 415 (I think). I've heard of people switching the voltage by moving jumpers in the box on top, but I want to make sure I can use it even though it doesn't list 240v.
Also, is it possible there could be any very expensive or impossible to fix problems with it? Will it be likely to need an oil change?
