yea if u take it to bits , crane the transformer out of the can . oil all over the wires are solid copper bars inside . open the holes out fit plugs is it really worth it just get a couple of nuts back on. if its not broke don't fix itCould we put a dines socket to replace them . I know they would be facing up

no need for a lathe u can do them on a pedestal drill if your pushed
