Hello this is my first post and I am not a welder by trade, im a blacksmith and I need to buy a mig welder to run to help with some jobs for my business. My workshop is powered by a 2.3kw petrol generator and I understand this is too small for a Mig welder. Before buying a new generator and Mig welder I am hoping someine can confirm for me that these two items will be compatible and run together without issue. these are:
R-tech mig180 mig welder https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/29124979...wsOu5JyTIa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
and a Hyundai HY10000LEK-2 8kw/ 10.6KVA Generator https://www.justgenerators.co.uk/hyundai-hy10000lek-2-electric-start-site-petrol-generator.html
The mig welder listing specifies it is generator friendly with a generator running at more than 6.5kva with AVR and this generator I believe meets those criteria.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated as I am on a deadline to get a new welder in.
Failing this I will gave to get an Arc welder/ generator.
