Hi all,
Just thought I'd say hello. I'm picking up my first welder this weekend, it's a clarke 240 turbo Arc welder with some rods and face mask
I've bought it to weld up a cast iron manifold (with some iron welding rods).
I'm planning on welding the manifold cold, around 100 amps. The plan is to weld small spots (size of a penny), strike with a hammer, then let cool before removing slag and moving to the next spot to weld(to prevent stress and cracking)
Anyone any ideas on this or advice??
Cheers,
Paul.
