Morning All
I am new to tig welding, previous experience only in arc and oxy-set.
I am looking for advice as I am in the market for a tig welder to cater for my needs for a small project I am busy with.
My project is creating some custom fishing lures for big game fishing. I am looking into an alternative method for making the stainless steel harness in the lures, currently I have been using 2mm SS 316L filler rods bending them into shape and binding them together. This method takes to long and not always precise as the length of the harness varies each time. I am now looking in to tig welding a harness together for more precise stronger and a neater looking harness.
I plan to use 2.4mm or 3.2mm 316L filler rods and weld them to a 2.4mm 316L solid ring as in the picture below.
I am not sure what tig welder would be best for this application as this is all I would need on for and some pointers on settings etc would be great and much appreciated.
