Hi.
I'm an Audio Visual Technician in a Secondary school.
The Technical dept have a SIP Autoplus 180 MIG unit which works only partially. There's a control on the front which is part of a small circuit board. When they turn the knob, the welder cuts out. Looks like a 2.2k pot. I'm going to try replacing this but when I looked at the welder, someone has removed a thermostat and shorted the wiring out to bypass it. Not a good thing.
I was wondering if we can still get parts for this kit?
Is there a circuit diagram available?
It's over 35 years since I used a MIG welder but, I'd like to get this back in full operation for use in the school. Any help or advice would be greatly received.
Cheers.
