Having moved into our house last June I have been pondering ever since on what to do about workshop space. The house came with a 10ftx8ft wooden shed which was in decent condition. However it is not really suitable for having a lathe or other workshop machinery in.
I have enough space to construct a 18ftx9ftx9ft workshop. So this lunchtime I got the 10x8 shed moved round to the back of the house - a trolley Jack, 3 lengths of 42mm round tube, a younger brother and some brute force got it rolled along the slabs and repositioned.
The plan now is to lift all the 3x2 slabs to allow me to dig down to prepare the ground for pouring a 6inch slab of concrete. Once the slab is poured and cured I'll be using it as a flat base to start making the wall frames from 4x2 timber. I have the plans all roughed out in my head and it should all work out ok
Pictures will be posted as and when I make any progress.
