Hello thaught id drop on a forums , normaly i learn from my friend but hes gone for now and i cant learn from him, he taught me to stick etc and i love it,
i did some work and earnt myself a MigMate Turbo 105.
it came with the regulator etc, all i need is the gas , ive been looking online and searching somany different types, i ended up in a mechanic garage who did gas bottle rental, he recomended a
95% argon 5% co2,
the welder said a different gas ratio but the guys said that this ratios most common for most steel,
im posting to ask if this is ok, i dont trust the guy who sold me the £170 bottle of gas
im scared to connect it up its gas and **** ive never used lol,
i watch chucke2009 for welding tips hes really good, and il follow that,
but so my concerns are,
Gas ratio ive got as i dont understand gas 95argon/5%co2 mix (migmate turbo 105)
and connecting it up how do i check the regulators working ? wil i not blow up lol
thankyou and i hope i can gain some friends here who enjoy welding,
p.s my welding is from repairs to my main hobby.. art bolt animals /boats flowers etc designing scrap metal, stick does it but so messy ive used a mig few times and i love how tidy and practicle it is ,
