Far too much effort.Maybe, but...
See latest post I made
YesAre the Fronius and Tweco both inverter sets?
Good enough that Snap-on re-badge them then add a load of money to the price...Ive also owned a 130 and it was a cracking welder.cebora s are good tools, I would nt part with my 130, underated machines thats for sure.by that I mean often overlooked.
No not yet. Tell you what you soon go through steel peeing about with a Mig. I’ll get some 6mm bar from work and weld them at the appropriate wire speeds for voltage settings 6,7 and 8. Then I’ll chop em up and see how much it bites.Looks to me like you've got it singing alright on that.
Done any section cuts?
Richard interesting to see the volts and wire speed running close together I am finding the same with the RTec it's something I never noticed on my old welder with push buttons and a dial for wire speedNo not yet. Yeah I’ve found it sings best at 2mm steel voltage 5 wire speed 5
3mm voltage 6 wire speed 7
5/6mm voltage 7 wire speed 7.8
6mm voltage 8 wire speed 8.5 (too much for supply I’d imagine but didn’t push it to trip so not sure).
I don’t think the numbers represent anything tbh. The wire speed could be m/min but it doesn’t say so I’d have to measure it. Volts are just switched stages. They tend to go up in 2-3 volt increments.Richard interesting to see the volts and wire speed running close together I am finding the same with the RTec it's something I never noticed on my old welder with push buttons and a dial for wire speed
The mw2000?? Not a chance. It wasn’t cheap it was a fair deal for a 23 year old unit on borrowed time. It’s going nowhereSo you will be parting out that old tig you got quite cheap now then
Yes mate that’s 6mm flat bar.You said that's 6mm flat?
Looks to me like that's pretty much the limit of the machine. It's done that alright, but anything bigger...
Which confirms my thoughts about mine - bearing in mind I can't get it on max on my supply, I'll change to mma at about 5mm.
We are on a C20 now so should should cope ok with the majority of its need. Yes immediate surges are where it’s likely to trip I’d imagine.A bet it pops the trip for fun if you run a load of tacks fast though
