Hi
This is my first post here. I've been meaning to learn how to weld for some time now, and thought it was time to dig out the welder from the tool room.
Right now, I've got plans to fix up a couple of rather mangy looking cars I've got around the property, building some computer cases and also to build a gantry for a DIY CNC router table (not sure yet on whether this will be steel or aluminum). It might also see some use around the house for various construction projects.
My welder is a SIP Weldmate T150P. I've attached some pictures of it so you guys can take a look at it.
The welder has never been used, and it's actually still in the original box. I bought it on sale for around $512 in July 2008.
Now, I've been reading a little about brands on this forum, and the general consensus seems to be that SIPs aren't worth much. So I'm wondering if perhaps I'm better off selling this welder while its still unused, and getting another brand of welder? If so, what should I get?
Thanks for any comments and suggestions
