Me macbook pro has died and it looks like its not repairable graphics chip has gone it 2011 apple say it vintage ??? and having talked to a few repairers it would seem you cant get the graphics chip so need a new laptop.
Been down to PC world for a look when did laptops get so expensive ? Not that long ago you could get the dogs do dars for around £600
Most seem to have ssd drives and looking at the install of windows that takes up 30gig ish of space so on a 125gig ssd not a lot of room left...... the mac had 250 gig used of 500.
I mostly sent mails web searching watching YouTube do invoices ect but ! I have and adobe suite Photoshop illustrator etc so it needs to be up to the job
I like the idea of a touch screen which the new mac books dont have and would prefer a 15” ish screen
Iv seen this
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...-15-6-2-in-1-natural-silver-10164474-pdt.html
and this which seems to get good reviews
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...3-touchscreen-laptop-silver-10151883-pdt.html
or back to a mac book
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/compu...15-with-retina-display-2015-10118364-pdt.html
Im not mad on windows after you have loaded all the anti virus stuff slows them down no end and they get issues with the updates knaffing it all up.
I have to say the mac was no problem up dated without fuss never have a virus, I know macs are not immune from virus etc but less likely than windows
What do you guys use and recommend ?
Thanks
Steve
