Hi All,
I've been reading the forum off and on for about 6 months now, and I decided it's time I registered as I would like some sage wisdom!
I've been pondering over setting up my own light engineering/fabrication business, and having just sold off a wee computer company I built up over the last few years, I'm now in the position to make a go of it.
Prospective customers, premises (nearly) and two lathes and a milling machine are all sorted.
Ideally, I now want to sort out some decent MIG and TIG plant. I've been looking at a SIP Weldmate PS249W, and was wondering if anyone has any experience or advice on this welder.
I can stick and gas weld competently, and I gather that TIG is do-able if one has gas welding experience? Which TIG unit would be recommended for general workshop aluminium fabrication (up to maybe 4mm thickness)
Thanks in advance
Ed
