People always say that yet I found it just as easy, if not easier than DC Tig, then again I am no expert at either
I always did a lot of gas welding and found the skills easily transferable to TIG.
Ive welded before, and I do have a MIG, but this an entry level machine which I use on exhaust systems and other mild steels of up to 2-3mm, and Im looking to upgrade to something where I can do steel, SS, and Alu (Alsi). I would grade myself as a beginner. I do not weld very often, but I like to have the gear. Now I will need to do some Alu, and I love to do everything myself. I restore classic cars.
Mig is going to be easier. I've just took delivery of a new ewm 355 Puls. I run 1.2 al wire and have been welding down to 1mm sheet. You tell the welder what your welding and it does the rest. Amazing kit well worth the money
I'd be going for the EWM PicoMIG over that.http://rapidwelding.com/dynamic/DisplayItem.aspx?c=059016014&zl=2
How about this one? Pulse MIG and TIG........... A bit costly, but ticks a lot of boxes...
How come?I'd be going for the EWM PicoMIG over that.
How come?
The Miller looks a really good unit with pulse, more power than the EWM and cheaper.
I've not used either so convince me why is the EWM better.
