This thread is going to be a bit of a blog on the new toolroom I am going to build in the corner of my business unit. I am planning on building a new very heavy duty cnc router so I need all my gear in one place.
My Cincinnati mill is already at the unit but I need to get my Bridgeport and Cardiff lathe down there and then build the room around them.
As I have a quiet Easter weekend I decided to start moving the machinery out of the shed. A mate is going to pick them up with his Hiab and deliver them down to the unit where I can easily move them around with the forklift.
First job today was moving the Bridgeport out through a small door:
I needed to do a little surgery on the door frame to clear the table (the mill went in in pieces but I didn't want to strip the thing down if I could avoid it).
Amazing what one man can do with a few round bars and a 4' crow bar.
Tomorrow is the lathe:
