I've an empty (valve removed, flushed and turned upside down for probably 12+ months !) gas bottle I intend making into a stove for under the carport. Intention is to be able to burn coal as well as wood so will follow "tried and tested" routes that other people have taken as plenty of designs around.
Today been thinking that option of being able to also use LPG, as well a wood & coal, would be useful.
I've got one of these Calor 936 burners -
Idea is simply have gas burner on the fire bed but assume I'll need something above to be heated otherwise all the heat will go up the flue
What would other use as this "heat skink" - some sort of brick or metal ? I'm wondering if I could adapt old brake discs as I'm about to change all 4 on my Disco !
Cheers.
