Hi All,
I'm from NZ and I'm studying towards an Engineering degree with electronics (major is called Mechatronics) so I want something no too expensive (<$2kNZ) that'll last me through my study (4-5 years) I also want to be able to weld pretty much anything.
I'm thinking of getting an AC/DC tig straight off, rather than a Mig with alloy spool gun as Tig will allow me to pretty much weld anything, correct?
I also know Tig's harder to learn etc, but I have the patients and hand/eye coordination to be able to sort it out.
The problem is that there are heaps of different types, various prices, quality and designs, so really not sure where to start
Any help is greatly appreciated!
