Hi all. I have bought a used MTE 320 Tig supposedly in GWO. No surprise that after delivery and connecting it up i cant get it to strike an arc! After a bit of experimenting and reading of the online manual it looks like the red LED that is showing on the control panel indicates it is overheating/thermal trip is out. Obviously it is not actually overheating so im wondering where to start looking for a fix.
Im getting a main cooling fan on and the machines HF start tries to strike but it just wont arc. The machine is fitted with a watercooler unit which appears to be working ok.. Does anyone know the location of the thermal trip or how this actually works? (bimetallic strip/thermistor etc??) could it be something to do with the water cooler or could it possibly be a supply problem? The machine is wired to 400v single phase which is a bit strange but i have taken power across two phases to give me what i think is correct!
Any help a bonus!
