Evening folks.
My name is Sam, I’m a 24 year old apprentice that’s within weeks of finishing my level 3 in fabrication and welding. Level is complete.
I’m am working my way through getting various codings and tickets such as, CSCS, Scissor and boom lifts, fillet welding etc and was debating setting up my own mobile welding company.
Where I live there are many farms and small garages and I know of only one person who offers this sort of service, but as I also have a lock up can offer slightly more than the man in the van.
The next closest thing I can see in my areas is the 5 or 6 man businesses that offer larger work repairs to things like quarry machinery. Both mobile and in house work.
I was thinking of choosing a Defender 130 Double Cab Pick Up as the base vehicle. Very cabable off road for field use etc and the large pick up bed and towing cability is also very good. I’m very familiar with them as well as I’m on my second 90 at the moment. Do all my own repairs and
Maintence.
I was hoping someone could help me
And tell me what I should look into to help estimate the set up costs.
Many thanks
Sam
