Depends on which one. The standard 3000 with the anolog dials doesn't have as much to play with and like the 2000 you need the separate remotes to do things like pulse etc. Nice machines and a AC arc charactoristic that's second to none. The ones to look for are the "job" models. These are on another level and everything you need is in the panel. The old mw3000 are great and if you can supply one power then go for it. You don't need fancy gizmos really just the essentials which they do perfectly.
