I have the chance to buy the following, rather cheaply;
Miller Econotig, torch and footpedal.
Works and welds BUT not achieving full power on DC and poor weld quality on AC.
Had it looked at by a welding repair specialist and it needs a board replacing at a cost of £360.
I have been told that it may only be a transformer problem, and thus be much cheaper to repair.
What would the collective thought be, take the risk or avoid it ?
Thanks
Jon
