Mig (Clarke 151en) on domestic supplys.. (and other questions)
I sold my arc (clarke 90) a while ago so I could move upto a mig, which I'm about to do..
I'm not sure which output to go for, the reason is it will be run off 13amp plug BUT its at the end of the garden (something like 10 meters from the fusebox) this one plug also powers a fridge (could be turned off) a small tv (that could be turned off) two strip lamps and a 100watt security light. I've read here that 13amp supply will power a 150 but would this still apply? should I go for a 130 to be on the safe side?
It wouldn't matter but I'm going to be useing it for welding flatbar together, 3mm, maybe as much as 5mm.. I'd imagine it will have to be end on end.
I'm looking at clarke migs from machine mart, either a 130 or 150.. is there allot to choose between the blue box and red box models? (other than wheels)
(Thanks for reading!)
