As the old banger has just passed its MOT, I have a little more time before having to purchase a welder. My company has a Migatronic Rally 166 which has not been used for over 2 years and I am wondering if it is worth offering to take it off their hands. The problem is it has no manual, so I can’t find the minimum welding current. There is a wire speed control and what I assume is a power control with settings labelled 0 to 4. I can’t find this model on the Migatronic website.
Does anyone have experience of this machine? If so, would it be suitable for a novice to learn on, and eventually do car bodywork or would I be better off buying a new Clarke?
TIA
Steve
