Hi
I was taught TIG welding by an old work colleague of mine yers ago and became reasonably proficient at it although didn't really understand the settings, just enough to be able to do small metalwork jobs that were needed.
I now want to build a framework for racking which just involves 20mm x 20mm 2mm wall thickness square steel tubing. I may attempt other items after.
What type of machine would be best for this?
Was looking at small TIG Inverter's for around £200 but are these really any good or would a basic MIG welder be ok for this? I don't have a large budget and am in no rush so could happily wait for something decent to come up on ebay.
Any advice greatly received.
Tom
