hi guys i am restorourating a vespa i want to buy a welder but i dont know what welder.
people say that i have to buy a co2 welder please help give me a advice.
if i buy a mig/mag welder is it possible to weld iron and aluminium?
When you say 'iron' you really mean steel..is that correct?
We probably won't know what machines are for sale in your country so if you find a MIG welder that you think will do your purpose, link it here for members to have a look at and hopefully they will be able to suggest if it's suitable.
In the meantime have a good read of the tutorials on this forum, they will guide you in the right direction.
As I mentioned, the problem is I and I am sure many other's here won't know what is available in Croatia, I certainly don't know what 200eur will buy.
There may be makes available the same as what we have in the UK, easiest way is to point us in the direction of anything you may intend to buy and I am sure advice will be available.
If Clarke machines are available or Cebora, Sealey etc then they should do you, be aware though that welding aluminium takes a fair bit of skill and a different gas to steel as a minimum, certainly a lot more challenging than welding steel.
That second one does look the best of the three machines.
Have you looked at the technical details here: http://www.steinershopping.at/media/guede/20076_ml.pdf
The amp range is from 25 to 160A, so it should be good on thin steel, too.
(But best used with argon/CO2 mixture for thin steel).
