Currently covering a tractor hydrolic unit to a multi station log splitter. first horizontal unit is now in place and client is now looking at a big vertical splitter on the end
Having never done one before I have a couple of questions
The splitting wedge is best made from what grade of steel?
Heat treatments required?
Could said steel then be welded to m/ s plate? with what consumables? process?
It's a fair size thing, client is doing all the mechanical and any machining stuff
Big three phase mig on site and I carry facility to burn up to a 4 mm lo hy / cel etc. heating torches pretty much full gambit
