Hello, first time poster and general MIG welding noob here - please go easy!
Today I have just one question, which I hope is simple enough to answer.
I'm required to do a macro etch test on a sample of parking brake brackets with a 21mm fillet MIG weld.
I understand the ISO standard that outlines where to measure penetration and throat dimensions, however I can't find a standard anywhere that indicates where along the length of the weld the section should be taken?
Should I always take the section from the start, middle, end or should I look for a point where the fillet looks to be at a minimum/maximum?
