Hi all ,
I am new on the forum and new on the welding world too.
At the moment I am taking course to learn how to weld (Plan: 15 hours MIG and 15 hours GAS).
So after that I should have a bit of exposure to undertake my car restoration project.
So I will need a plant, as I said my main used will be car restoration so I need a low amp reliable ;-0 (Actual car project is a Porsche 924).
But I would probably on time to time to weld thick metal.
I would like as well to have a GAS/No GAS, I need to check the price of the GAS in Ireland but I hear it is very dear around 300€/year (rental+1 bottle filled).
If any way have can give me some tip on the GAS, it would be brilliant
So what kind of welder would you advice to me?
For the budget, I will be on the side to "Spend what is need to fullfill the need ;-0"
I might not use it very often when the restoration will be over, not completely sure yet. But if the resto is going well I might, I have few car in mind ;-)
I was on ebay and find this one:
http://cgi.ebay.ie/MIG-WELDER-CLARK...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item2a02951b0f
What do you think?
PS: I have read the buyer guide, it is brilliant! Congratulation!!!
