Hi all I run a small garage in cornwall specialising in british sports cars, land rover etc I have been welding with migs since I was about 10 now 21. I bought a power craft welder off a mate as it was what I could afford at the time. It was not an easy welder to use especially when it came to thin stuff but I mastered it with time and went through 8 or 9 5 kg reels. Well today the handset caught fire burning my hand in the process by the looks of the the main cable welted and broke down that arcked when I was using it. Anyway A good friend of mine has a welder he bought for someone who no longer wants it that is a sealey supermig 185 had little use and is £200.
What do you lot think of them I did have a little go on it and put a nice bead down with good penetration though 3 mm steel joining the two with a 3 mm gap.
Was a lot easier then the cheap thing I had before but thats got to expected.
One thing I don't want is to spend half the time messing about with the thing cause the wire is not feeding properly etc.
I just want a welder that can put down a nice weld and I can pick it up whenever and it works.
So whats your thoughts ??
