Hello!
Been looking at welders for a while now.
I'd be using it for car bodywork mostly but also fabricating other items for 4x4's (winch bumper, sliders, etc) upto probably 5/6mm thick max.
ATM I only have a single phase supply.
One machine that seems ideal is the Lincoln Powertec 231c
One was listed on eBay that I was following for £700 that didn't sell:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lincoln-Electric-powertec-231C-Mig-welder-/271275054369
This has a current range of 35-220Amps
Can't find the voltage at the low end amps setting.
These are about £1K new, would be grateful for your opinions of the suitability and also the value of this unit?
Best Regards
IQ
