Hi All,
As some of you may have seen, I've had all my stuff stolen. So I'm looking to buy a new welder, but MMA inverter this time.
What do you think is best? TEC-ARC 166i DC MMA from Weldequip, or the Lincoln Invertec 135? Both around £300 with delivery included.
I know the TECARC can run larger rods, but I've seen people rate Lincoln very highly. I should imagine the TECARC would blow breakers if past 150 amps..?
Any other suggestions for a good arc welder?
I will be doing mainly 3mm box steel with it, but could end up doing anything really! Probably no more than 8mm plate. My main features are or course, good duty cycle, lightweight and preferably dual voltage, but not essential. Running from a generator would be handy too..
Opinions appreciated! Oh and I can't spend more than £300 as I'm having to replace everything that was stolen from my van. So will also need helmet, grinders, tools, drills etc :-(
