I have had a long ongoing saga on my 1.4HDi 307 Peugeot. I have gone through every system on the engine and more and got nowhere. It was coming up with a glowplug fault but the experts on the forum were insisting that the engine in my car did not need the glowplugs and anyway it would not put the car into limp. Eventually a chap phoned me and said that he had known this happen and explained how to check the glowplug and its circuit. It consisted of disconnecting the glow plug feed and substitute a halogen bulb in its place. Did that and bingo jobs a good in. Out of limp at last. It meant that all 4 plugs were dead but they are a pain to see never mind get out. And as this engine does not use /need them I believe that in place of the halogen I can fit a resistor in its place. Now I worked out that the halogen bulbs resistance was 2.4ohms , it was a 60/55w, so would it be right to say use that size to replace the dud feed? And where would and what type would I need? It would have to have eye tags for 8mm bolt to fit on the relay although I could improvise with cable.
