Hi All,
I'm taking a 5-day quick course in TIG welding here in Hull (UK) and getting along pretty well... I've done loads of soldering and I find TIG "sort-of-similar".
The photo is one of my test pieces (they're all as good as this of course, I just picked one out at random )
Actually, lots of earlier pieces had two distinct 'wobbly bits': the first when I'd rested on my wrist, then had to start moving it. The second when I ran out of filler rod and had a frantic fumble.
After going back to some fusion runs on a "start as you mean to go on" basis; constantly moving rather than trying to pivot on my wrist, I got the hang of it.
Still find constantly feeding filler rod a bit tricky tho'
