a dead center is more rigid than a revolving center but the revolving will do what most people wantIts very easy to get drawn in to cheap tooling that either wont work or last, bide your time and wait for the right quality tools to crop up. Very often its false economy, ive been there and wasted money.
Bargains are still to be had that cost what the cheapies do new.
I wouldnt bother with a dead centre you will never use it again. You will however use a revolving centre.
Will need a splashback and protect that VFD a little better, coolant will splash there at inopportune times.
Get that spindle start lever and foot brake working you will need it for threading and safe operation.
