Wife has given me half day free to test spray a scrap bonnet. As most of you know, I've never sprayed body paint before. I've asked questions on this forum and watched YouTube videos, and I've sprayed Jotun marine paint before but that's totally different.
Just reading through the datasheet before I start, and more questions coming up, this is from the Lechlar manual:
I don't get what the underlined bit means? What does "further from the substrate" mean?

Apply 1 light coat followed by 1 normal coat. Finish with a second normal coat. With METALLIC and
MICA/PEARL colours apply a uniform coat slightly farther from the substrate. If, after this operation, some clouding is visible, reduce the pressure to 1-2 bar and apply a uniform cross coat on all the substrate.
I don't get what the underlined bit means? What does "further from the substrate" mean?
